I got a call late last month from my student loan company saying that my Feb payment was never received. So I checked my bank's Bill-Pay and lo & behold, it went through to them and was debited from our account.

I submitted an inquiry with my bank and never heard back. I realized today that I'd never heard back, so I called again to find out that they'd contacted my student loan lender, but they refused to talk to them.

Come to find out that my bank *did* send the payment, and it *was* received, with the proof being the gawddamn check the gawddamn student loan lender SIGNED. 

So they received the money, forgot/neglected/whatever'd to credit it to my account, then told me that they were not to blame, that it must be my bank, and then refuse to work with said bank to rectify the situation?

I flurking hate my lender. They've pulled this schit before and they're *never ever ever* to blame for anything. Feckers.

I have had this issue with my student loan and electric bill once.  I now only use bill pay if it is set up and drawn by the creditor, not sent by my bank.

I was listening to NPR *shoot me, I know* and in the "common sense" article they talked about how student loan orgs won't talk with people ever, and shuffle you around and around, ad nauseum rather than deal and fix a problem.

I'm willing to be you are so very very not alone.

there are some joys to not having any federal gvt student loans.
but even the state level ones are jerkoffs.
