in certain cultures women can't engage in particular activites whe they are menstruating?

I vote Americans start a similar tradition. Women shall be exiled to their bedrooms with the remote and their beverage of choice for the duration of their period. Complete with room service. Like a mini-housebound obese stay-cation.

    No. This is why I want to end the periods - I spend half my life in bed with the damn remote and the painkillers. It's awful. I hate being incapacitated by my stupid biology.

    I hated being truly incapacitated by my period, but just pretending while I sat at home doing whatever the hell I wanted?  That'd be great.

    Well, I used to get incapactiated by migraines and that I hated. But I would love to be home right now, in a dark room, with the pugs, sleeping.

    Min, you should ask your doc about an IUD.  I never ever have a period anymore and if I do, it's like one drop.  A may zing!
