clothing poll

you wear an outfit.

Re: clothing poll

  • I said no, but it does kind of depend on the outfit or the place I wore it.  A skirt and blouse for church goes back on the hanger.  The pants I had on for 5 minutes before dumping food on myself gets washed.
  • Dry-clean only stuff gets worn a few times before it goes in. But I own very few dry-clean only outfits, and they're all special-occasion clothes, so they only get worn for a few hours at a time.

Laundry is done once a week, and I rotate through 2-3 pairs of jeans, so they get washed every 3ish wears. Shirts get washed after every wear.
  • Jeans don't get washed immediately unless they get spilled on.  Usually we get 2-3 wears out of them before washing.  Bras get a couple wears.  Panties and socks get one wear.
  • I am the sole "I wore it, it's dirty" vote?  Really people?  Y'all are some nasty mofos.

  • Huh.  I posted a response last night.  Thanks, TK.

Anyway, for me, jeans get 2-3 wears.  Bras get 2 and panties and socks get 1.  Shirts usually get 1 wear.  DH usually goes by the same schedule, minus the bras.

The kids' stuff is more often.  They might get 2 wears out of jeans before I wash but they're kids, so spills are inevitable.  Most of their things get only one wear before wash.
