For my moms' meetup group, one of the ladies posted a meetup announcement for this Sunday:
{Daughter's} birthday is May 21 so I thought we could all get together (including husbands/significant others) for a cookout and help us celebrate with some cake and ice cream. We do have a pool so you're welcome to jump in or dip you feet in the pool...or I can keep it covered up for safety reasons if you prefer
I RSVPed yes for the 3 of us, and offered to bring a side. There's 11 people that RSVPed yes (+babies/other kids and SO) - so maybe 30-40 people.
So my question - does this read as an official birthday party invite? should we bring the girl a gift (she'll be 1) - and if so, how much should we spend/what should we get?
(I was thinking at most $10 and a couple of picture/beginner books)
