Bridesmaids dress

I spoke to the lady that I bought my wedding dress from and the shop has a large aray of bridesmaids dresses she gave me the website too look at all the dresses that they have before bringing in my girls to find dresses... anyways we found one that everyone is in love with and I call the shop and they dont carry that one for them to try on... so then I call the company and they dont have a sample to send or a dress to try on in washington... I have decided that I love this dress and so do the girls so we are gonna just go for it order the dresses in their sizes and cross our fingers.
It takes about 12 weeks to get the dresses in WHAT IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS that is cutting it close i think!

Thanks for the vent... ill post a picture when I get home.. suppose to be in school bye ladies!

Re: Bridesmaids dress

  • I just ordered mine offline, and it said about 10-16 weeks, 10 would be in late april, and 16 would be early june. Im hoping for april. 12 would be during may sometime, which leaves 2ish months for alterations.
And chances are that if they dont look good for some reason,  a skilled alterations person can work wonders with fixing a dress to look better (to a certain extent at least.)
And I look forward to seeing the picture!

  • Are there any dresses that are a similar style and fabric that your girls can try on just to get an idea? Or, have you looked into other BM shops in your area that carry that designer? They might carry a sample, but you can still order them from the store you like better.  Ditto PP, looking forward to seeing a pic!!

  • Looking forward to seeing a pic.  I think you have plenty of time in ordering them.  They will get in mid-May and you have time to do alterations or fixes to them.  That stinks that the one dress you want is not available in your state.

  • I really like that dress!! I think halters are universally flattering, and the dress looks pretty flowy, so it shouldn't really cling to any problem areas, and if it does, that's what spanx are for! If your girls really love it, I say go for it and order them.
