Someone please tell me I'm not the only one who somewhat blindly accepted an offer of wedding funding without getting really clear about what the heck that meant, resulting in a big mess of dysfunctional strings.
Please, pretty pretty please.
Just need to know I'm not the only one who wasn't blessed with either enough foresight to turn down offers of help, or family who said "Here, this is what we can/can't pay, these are our expectations, we *trust* you to make decisions based on this amount."
Thanks :-)

We paid for our entire wedding/reception and two days worth of pre-wedding events with tons and tons of food, um, hmm... by ourselves - DH and I without help from parents, friends, or anyone!
Granted family and friends still wanted to give their two cents about everything wedding related, and give you expectations.
The best kind of advice I can give, is find a way to pay for the wedding yourselves, and heartfully decline other's givings.
