Inspire me

For the last two days I haven't liked a single card I made. I'm sick of Christmas cards and cards for children. I don't have much patience for Thanksgiving cards because I just don't consider Thanksgiving a card-giving holiday.

So, who needs a card for a purpose other than Christmas, a sick kid, or Thanksgiving? Alternatively, what's something I can make that's not a card?

A thank you card, or Just Thinking of You card is always good to have on hand.

You could make one of those christmas ornament wreaths.

    New Year's cards?  Or V-day?

Have you considered stationery?  (e or a I always get it wrong)  Something with just initials on it.

I do a lot of kids' work too, and it makes me bored.

Grown up stationary is fun, I love quirky, simple, blank cards.

What about instead of cards, doing quotes or something to frame as a wall hanging? Like a card with no insides? People sell the crud out of those at art fairs.

As far as Christmas goes, I loved making ukranian eggs as a kid. If I had time I still would. I think you would like it.

Dear Rain, Not Today. Sincerely, My Parade

Oh I do not have anywhere near the talent necessary for Ukranian eggs.

I just crackle-painted a clear ornament. I've only ever used crackle paints on cardstock, so we'll see how it goes. I think it's going to take a long time to dry.

    How about some funny ones?

"Sorry your husband/mom/dad/kid is a douche"

"Sorry to hear about your lack of common sense."

"This is all you're getting for Christmas."

    "You might consider some deodorant"

"Showering: Not just for other people."

Or some thinking of you / get well soon cards?

TD, probably the most common cards I buy are Thank You and just blank ones.  I really love getting some gorgeous blank cards that I can use for jotting a note on to send to someone, no matter the situation.
