Traveling from San Juan Island to the Olympic Peninsula??

We're going to San Juan Island, the Olympic Peninsula and Seattle for our honeymoon and I need help with traveling advice, please! What is the best/fastest way to travel from San Juan Island to Port Townsend? What about from Port Townsend to Seattle?

Thanks!

Where are you starting at? From San Juans to Olympic Peninsula you can take the Port Townsend - Coupeville Ferry or Edmonds - Kingston Ferry, from Olympic Peninsula to Seattle I would recommend the Bainbridge Island Ferry.

Edmonds - Kingston goes from the peninsula to the mainland, though, not to the islands. I like it, though - Edmonds has a nice little marina area. If you Google map it, you can see the ferry lines marked out on the water, or go to http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/index.cfm. The ferries to/from everywhere in the summer can back up, so keep that in mind (like go to the bathroom before you get your car in line)! The worst is, for example, leaving Seattle on a Friday to go to the islands, or returning from the peninsula or the islands on a Sunday. It can be a few hours' wait.
