H is headed over to the realtors office. He says he has one thing he doesn't agree with but they will call me when they sit down to discuss.

    yay! we got the buyout offer for our house, but it has a huge list of hoops to jump through. i called my boss, cause there's no way in hell we're investing thousands to get the company to take it.

    We are countering. Realtor thinks she will accept.

    She is sellling her house in WVA and its pretty much a done deal, cash sale.

    She asked for 4K in closing which I think is kind of high, but w/e.

    Congrats!  Fingers crossed for an easy closing.  BTW - I got $4000 in closing from the seller when I bought my house in February, so it's not that out of line.

    I should add that it's 4K in closing AND 5900.00 off the price of the house that she wants

    I still don't think it's that unusual.  My 4K in closing was in addition to 15k below asking price, so you're probably doing well.

    we couldn't do that. It's been so slow that we've knocked 10k off already. this is pretty much the limit of what we *want* to accept. We'll still make money, just not as much as we anticipated in the beginning.

    Yeah, the market is pretty bad all around.  I'm sure she's expecting you to counter a little higher, so you'll hopefully make a little back there.  Good luck with closing...hope it is fast and (relatively) low stress!
