Wedding Woes

Graduation gifts

We have a bunch of graduations coming up- high school/college boy/girl.  I was just going to send cash, but now we will be attending the parties.  Is there a good gift besides cash?  I was thinking $25 for high school and $35-50 for college.

I got some really nice towels for high school- it sounds weird, but I still have them.  Would that be good/bad?  Are there new fangled ideas out there?  Or just go back to cash?

The high school grads are going on to college if that makes a difference.

I think that sounds good. I never know what to get people for graduation.

I'd go with cash. All the gifts I can think of are the kinds of things everyone will be getting them.

I've given fleece blankets/throws for High School grads.  Nice for the dorm/apartment.

I was thinking Target gift cards.  I'm not 100% positive if they have iPods.  I've seen them all drink so I guess it's beer money.  Cheapo me was just trying to get a $25 gift for less.

Cash is always great. GC's are good too. Esp if they are going away for school.

The $ amount depends on how close I am to the kid, and how well they did in hs.

I got towels, too, for high school (seems like 100 years ago, but I still have one of them) and actually thought it was pretty cool.  If you know they are going away to school, I think it would be nice.
