Chiming in on glitter shoes

I have a pair from J Crew that through a series of unfortunate customer service events and some hate mail, I managed to score for $50.

But I digress. They are strictly outside the house shoes. I keep them in a grocery bag, and put them on in the doorway. Once I return home, bag in the bag they go at the door. DH freaks out with the amount of glitter that they lose and how it gets everywhere.

They're high maintenance shoes. Not worth the money.

I have sequin encrusted flats.  They are easier to clean up after.

Yes. If you want shiny shoes, sequins are the way to go.

i have 2 pairs from candie's, and have never had an issue with shedding glitter. maybe it's because they have the really small glitter, and i'm just not noticing the issue.

Every 'sparkley' pair I've owned has been made w/ metallic thread in the fabric ..no shedding.

But tht's not as sparkley as glitter.
