My gut reaction is nobody wants a favor with any date on it.  Unless it's written in icing or something else edible.  I have seen someone wear their wedding dress and I have seen someone wear a pretty white sundress.  Whatever feels right to you and fits with the location and what your spouse is wearing is fine.

</div><div>Yeah, no one gives a hoot about dates on favors. Its a waste of money. </div><div>As far as dress, I'm not sure I'd do the whole wedding dress thing, but its up to you. and your venue. I think it if it were me, I'd find a white formal, as opposed to a wedding dress with the train and veil, but that's me. </div>
  • If you're going to put a date on favors (and I agree with the above people that I'd only give out edible favors), put the date you eloped on the favors.  That's the date you're going to celebrate as your anniversary every year, right?

As far as a dress, if you want to wear a white/wedding-y dress, you could always go look at the resort collection at your local bridal salon.  Those dresses are usually a slim silhouette and don't have a train and whatnot becuase they're meant for resort/beachy weddings.
  • Thanks for the advice It helped me calm down a lot. I think I'm going with edible favors and leave the date out. My new last name next to my hubby's should be fine.  Flowers in my hair. my hairdresser did it up really pretty kind of loose curls pinned with it in my hair. It looked beautiful And the dress if its white something fun and short nothing too fun though I am married.  Smile But if its long I'm was looking some gowns probably to match my decor. without a train  that's a bit too much it's casual semi -formal. I don't want to be overdressed but i want to look pretty. Thanks again.
