you and i will not be friends

i should clarify: if you are returning a gift and complain that the store will not just give you cash as its return policy.

-- if you yell at the store clerk/cashier/stock person about prices (they do not set them)

-- if you yell at the store clerk/cashier/stock person that something is out of stock and yes, they have checked the stockroom (they don't make them and don't decide that other people have also decided to buy the same item)

-- vintage =/= antique =/= old

-- if you spent $1k on a stroller, it takes big brass ones to try to sell it for $800.

I love it. "Now our child is walking."  Therefore they will never again need a stroller. Because every walking 15 month old can totally stroll around the zoo all day, or keep up with mom when she wants to power walk or jog 2-3 miles around the park.

Seriously. I used the stroller that came with our travel system when I took Dex with me for a walk about six weeks ago. He's 3, FFS. We were crossing major streets and going pretty far. I wasn't going to carry him the whole way, ergo or not.

Also love "cash sale only." Makes sense for CL, but seriously? I think I'd take paypal, at least, for that price.

  • I was in Target a few weeks ago (it was my vacation destination) and overheard a woman yelling at a guy trying to stock a shelf in peace.  She was screaming something like, "I can't believe the nerve of YOU PEOPLE making people work without paying them a living wage.  Target is DESPICABLE!"

Lady, oh lady, if you feel this way you need to a) empty that shopping cart and go shop somewhere else, and b) write a letter to someone capable of making those decisions.  If shelf stocking dude were capable of raising wages across the company I'm pretty sure he would have done it already.

Isn't the shelf stocking dude one of the people she is trying to help?

Yeah. I'm all kinds of confused.

Also, seen in Target last Friday: A woman shopping, alone, with FIVE children, ranging in age from approximately six months to 10 years. I had a little bit of pity, but then I decided she was just stupid. Really, if you're going to go all Duggar and have five kids, you don't have to bring ALL of them shopping with you *by yourself.*

  • My mom had 5 kids in 8 years. We all went shopping with her all the time. What else is she supposed to do? Leave them in the car?
