Wedding Woes

things

1) Mom starts chemo today. She'll get four different drugs over the course of 5-6 hours. Yesterday she had her 'chemo teach' class and she got all of her prescriptions. I told her to fill her ativan script and to be sure to take it.

2) The baby making doc wants to try injections with H, to see if he can eventually make some viable sperm. The drug is cheap, so we're going to try it. It won't solve my issues, but it's something. We're going to move ahead with trying to find a family lawyer to help with an adoption, too.

3) The farmer's market opens this weekend. Hello, summer. Can anyone recommend some herbs that can tolerate the heat? Last year's basil was a hit and we can't grow sage for sh1t.

4) The Medievil Fair is this weekend, too! We're planning on bringing both of the dogs and loading up on fair food. Last year someone dropped an entire funnel cake and Jake was sooooo happy.

5) My 40-something year-old cw is getting sexts from her 23 year-old repair man. He kissed her one day. We're are giddy as teenagers over this. He keeps asking when they are going to have sex. I keep wondering why they haven't already!

6) I had cheesy grits with my breakfast after the baby making doc appt this AM. They were heavenly. I did not put butter on them.

    - Good luck to your mom.

    - Many prayers for a good outcome on either the babymaking or lawyer front.

    - I've got a great image of Jake's face shoved in a funnel cake with powdered sugar flying.

    - grits suck

Yay for your mom's drugs!  Let the good times roll!

Double yay for your DH taking it in the a$$ instead of you for now ;).  And Im glad to see you're pursuing some options on the baby front.

Herbs.  Rosemary.  That stuff grew as hedges in Tucson (the land of over 110 in the summer).  Mint may be a good one too.  Invasive as hell once it's established, but great for mojitos.  Just keep them all watered and give them big containers to grow in.  They'll rise to the challenge.

Grits for lunch....mmmmmmmmm  Funnel cake and grits....mmmmmmm carbs

::vibes:: for your mom and you and H on all accounts.

I am no help with herbs. Nor can I appreciate the grits, never had them. H keeps telling me I need to eat them but then never fixes any for me.

And now I want funnel cake. And steak. I am a might suggestible today it seems.

Biscuit - these were the first grits I have ever really liked. And yeah...it is all about the funnel cake. The fair is here Fri - Sun. Last year we went Saturday and Sunday - just for the food.

*yay flags* for your Mom getting started on Chemo.

*yay* for cheap shots for your husband

*boo at your dog gettign funnel cake and not me.  I'm not afraid of dog germs, I will fight him for the cake.  See the angry dog in my pic?  That's a warning not a decoration.

    1.  ::fast acting drugs vibes::

    2. I really hope one of the other (or both!) works out for you. ::more vibes::

    3. Ditto the rosemary.  Also oregano.

    4. I am laughing at the image of the four of you searching the ground for dirt covered funnel cakes.  Tummy aches for everyone!

    5. What kind of repairs is he making?

    6. I think cheese is the only thing that could make grits edible.
