Movies:
- Senna (Documentary on Netflix) is a great movie. It's about one of the best Formula 1 drivers ever, and his tragic death during a race. It's full of politics and various degrees of sportsmanship, and about this amazing (and amazingly hot) guy who just wanted to drive a racecar. RECOMMEND.
- Mission Impossible 4: Whatever the Subtitle Is - Surprisingly good! I don't care much for Tom Cruise, but this really was very good. And Jeremy Renner was nice to stare at (and imagine naked). Recommend!
TV:
- Portlandia: Only mildly funny.
- The Walking Dead (Season 1): HOLY I-Can't-Believe-They-Can-Show-That-Much-Gore-On-Basic-Cable, Batman! I wanted to like it, but I'm just too squeamish. H loved it.
Books:
- The Hunger Games trilogy: LOVED (surprisingly). Recommend, even to those who think it's just silly adult fiction. My only complaint was all the teenage romance angst. Don't tell me about the "warm feeling coursing through your body" when you kiss your boytoy unless it's followed by bodice-ripping and member-throbbing (which of course doesn't happen in young adult fiction).
