I've been texting with Anna's sister lately. I haven't seen her family or talked to anyone else really since her memorial.
Anyway, Anna's sister told me that her BF broke up with her and she's completely devastated. I feel so bad for her. I know her BF went through Anna's last hospitalization and death pretty much by her side the entire time. I also know they hadn't been dating for too long before Anna started going downhill at the pace she did.
I told her we need to get together soon. I offered her to come over next weekend to watch the Colts game at our house. I also told her her I'll always be there for her and hope we can stay friendly. I adore Anna's sister and I think Anna would want us to stay friends.
I'm hoping that she's getting some grief counseling to help her. She lived with Anna up until about 4 months before her death and I know that she was Anna's primary care-giver (when she needed it) until Anna moved in with her mom and Anna's mom took over. Anna's sister also moved out of the apartment they shared right around the time Anna died. It's just a lot of upheaval in such a short time.
