If you are a fan of jewelry, do you buy jewelry for yourself?

If so, what kind of jewelry do you enjoy?

I generally wear what H makes me or what I make. If it's something bought it's generally from H. The only stuff I buy myself is the crappy costume stuff.

Me: I'm a big fan of turquoise, believe it or not. I prefer silver, white gold or platinum. I will wear gold but it's very rare that I do. I am allergic to nickel and copper in large quantities.

I like rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. I have very few bracelets though. I like chunky pieces, and turquoise is one of my favorites. I also like citrine, smokey topaz (or smokey quartz) and diamond. I am not a huge fan of emeralds or rubies, but I have found some I like. I lovelovelove sapphire though.

I like conceptual pieces and the more interesting the better. H has been working in copper pipe lately. He'll melt silver on it, smoosh it and set a stone in it. He's also done some really beautiful cuttlefish casting in silver that I wear every day.

I much prefer white metals. Any kind of gem stones. I tend to wear studs more often and since I got them, it's been the diamond studs H got me for our anniversary. I like rings but I generally only wear my engagement ring and wedding band. Necklaces and charms are generally the way to go with me.

Yes, I buy jewelry for myself, but nothing expensive and more beads and chains than stones or jewels.  The only jewel I own is on my engagement ring (and it is tiny).

Yea, I prefer hand-made pieces usually. I have a necklace I adore that my Mom's mentor gave me a few years before he died. Then I have a bracelet that she found at an antique store (I think) that's garnet and turquoise with all these little designs in it and it has hinges. I love stuff like that.

I will buy simple pieces, but I'm not a huge jewelry fan, unless it's from H.  I like whatever he gets me, because he tries at least. 

I honestly wear a watch, two rings, and earrings daily. 

Today I'm wearing a zulu grass necklace with pendant, but that's not too often.

I love jewelry, period.  I tend to buy myself cheaper pieces and FI will buy me the nicer stuff.  I like big cocktail rings and big earrings (but not together). 

When I'm 80, I'll be the old lady with giant rigns or brooches on.

i generally go for white gold/silver/platinum although i do like copper as well. 

DH buys me a lot of jewelry - most of the stones are blue or purple tones (aquamarine, topaz, sapphire, tanzanite, amethyst, etc.) or diamonds. I have also been getting a lot of colored pearls (my birthstone) in the last couple of years. 

On an everyday basis, I usually wear my wedding band/e-ring, a black pearl and diamond ring that DH bought me for our 3rd anniversary, a necklace (varied based on outfit) and 1" white gold hoops in my bottom ear hole. (I have 9 piercings in each ear, and never change out the hoops in the top 5 holes, i also have both traguses pierced.)

i do buy jewelry for myself - sometimes higher end pieces and sometimes costume pieces. 

every vacation that DH and I have taken together, he always buys me a piece of jewelry that reflects the location.

I buy myself jewelry.

I usually like to buy myself silver earrings (from Claire's, usually, since they're cheap and have cute little rock-friendly designs).

I also use spools of black ribbon from Michael's to tie around my neck as chokers, then buy pendants for them as I find them.

ETA: On a daily basis, it's the black titanium band on the left hand, e-ring on the right. Black ribbon tied around my neck. Earrings or not, depending on whether I have glasses on.

I've bought myself one chunky silver ring.  Either Dh buys me stuff or sMIL makes me stuff.

I like beads and silver toned jewelry.  DH has bought me my rubies- 2 rings, earrings, necklace.  And a saphire necklace "from" 6let.  I do want a pair of diamond studs.

I don't buy or wear a lot of jewelry. I regularly wear my wedding and e-rings, which are white gold with sapphires (I don't like yellow gold) , a turqoise ring my uncle found on a dig at an old native american site, and a rope necklace with a metal butterfly (part of my Cherokee name).

I don't like metal jewelry all that much so any other jewelry I wear is made of rope, a leather-ish material, etc., for bracelets and necklaces and rings are usually wood.

I wear my engagement ring and wedding ring on different hands, both are white gold.
I usually wear my diamond studs, mostly because I can't be bothered to unscrew the backs and change earrings. Then I'll sometimes add a necklace, plus my LOVE bracelet that DH got me for our first anniversary.

I love jewelry, and I buy myself lots of fun, cheap costume stuff. DH doesn't buy me much jewelry.

I buy costume for myself. FI and my father spoil me with nice jewelry.

I typically have "outfits" that I wear my costume jewelry with. All my good jewelry is pretty much white gold or diamonds set in white gold, including my E ring.

I have an embarassing amount of jewelry, but since I got out of construction, I wear all of it, so I don't feel as bad as I used to.
