before my wedding, my mom gave me my grandmother's earrings. i called them "the war earrings" because grandmama had them before the war, but i didn't know the story behind them. you suggested that perhaps it was a story like the one christopher walken told about the watch in "pulp fiction."
i asked my mom about them over christmas. she said there is no story; they're just earrings. darn!
