Wedding Woes

Only 3 days this week.

I was up at midnight for some tmi stuff.  M2 was up at 2 for I don't know what.  6let tore through the house scared of something at 426.  Nobody slept after that.

How was the weekend?

Nothing much here.  I cleaned a little.  We did a little shopping.  Still need a lamp for #3 and to get the kids their ornaments.

A cute 6let moment:
We were in Marshall's and they had a pile of little lovey things like he and M2 have.  He asked if his new brother had a lovey.  I told him no and 6let insisted we get the new brother one.  Sweet.

    Weekend was pretty good.

Friday--Went to the store for a few odds and ends and to buy the turkey (we bought from Meijer and it was $17 off the turkey with a $20 purchase)   DH and I didn't pay attention to the price of the turkey and so the one we picked was almost $60 (~$45ish with the discount, but still ridiculous).  I was all, "Hell to the NO!" and went back to find a more reasonable turkey.  I found one for $35 (which was $17 after discount).  We went home and made dinner and then I ran to Target to get diapers and buy Christmas presents for kids (I had coupons).  My nieces and nephew are now done for Christmas (and my nephew's birthday).

Saturday--The kiddo had his first bball game (they lost. womp, womp).  We went out to a late lunch/early dinner for MIL's birthday.  Then we went back to the IL's for cake and to watch the ND game.

Sunday--Cleaned house.  Our SoCal friends sent us a starter kit to brew our own beer, so DH made the first batch.  We'll know in about 4 weeks how it turns out.   I went back to the store for a few things and to get the BOGO deal at Sbux because DH and the kiddo wanted peppermint mochas.  We watched the Colts get slaughtered and then Sunday night TV and bed.
  • Aww.  6let is too sweet.  :)
  • awww.

Friday my folks went w/ us (the Mr. was working) to the lighting of the big town christmas tree and the light parade and all that.
We ducked out a little early because it was past her bedtime, but Buffy liked it--she especially liked that there was a dalmation on the fire truck and there were horses in the parade.

Saturday we did some nothing and I strted baking pumpkin bread for thanksgiving.

Sunday we went to old people church and had a after-church thanksgiving meal which was actually very nice.
  • Our weekend was pretty good.

Saturday we did some shopping.  We got a great deal on two of DD2's gifts at TRU - gotta love the "spend $x, get $x free" sales.  Son's kindle came in the mail and we had to put it away so we wouldn't be tempted to open it and play with it. :)

Yesterday we did some yardwork and put up xmas lights outside.  The fuse on one of our bush net lights keeps blowing, so we'll probably go buy one to replace it tonight.
  • That's cute. Saturday we went to Sesame Street Live. DS was being a pill that morning and we almost didn't go. Seriously, if 3 is worse I better just drink myself stupid for the next 18 months. We went to my parents house when we were done ans ate lunch then my dad watched DS while I ran to Ikea and Costco. Came home, ate dinner then put DS down for an early bed time while he screamed at me that he was angry at me. Sunday we took it easy and after DS went to bed I started painting the downstairs bathroom. Unfortunately I failed to take into account that because I was using a dark paint color that I'd need to do more than 2 coats. So today I will finish that up. And paint DS's room.
  • But did you end up having fun at Sesame st?

Cracks me up when the little ones are mad.  Usually M2 and I get up in the morning and snuggle on the couch for a bit before 6let comes down.  The other morning she was honked I wouldn't get her stuffed bunny.  She wouldn't snuggle for ANYTHING.  She took her blanket and loveys to the other couch and just pushed me away.
  • We did. DS is pretty reserved in public so he didn't want to get up and dance and sing, but he kept talking about it all day on Saturday. That's my sign he liked it.
  • 6let is too cute!

Pretty boring weekend here.  Saturday I did a few errands, cooked and then took dinner to H at work.  Sunday was church, Sams run and some other shopping.  We went for a late lunch at our favorite pizza place and then to my Mom's to help her with some paperwork.

So thankful for a short work week.

Friday - day off. 90 min massage, lunch out, shopping, cleaning at night to get ready for my parents.

Saturday- my parents got to our house around 11:30. we took them out for lunch (mexican), went to the grocery store, (got a free turkey, yay!). Hung out at home the rest of the evening.
Wolverine was really enjoying having grandma and poppy play with her.,

Sunday - lazy day around the house. made a quick target run and ordered pizza for dinner.

Today - parents leaving in a bit for San Antonio (staying until tomorrow). I'm working from home, and DK will be as well since his dentist appointment got moved.

  • I had another date with Mr. Snip Snip. He's a really nice guy. Not sure if I'm setting myself up, but I do enjoy his company.

  • Hmmmm Nola.  Maybe if he's not right, he has a friend that wants what you do?
  • 6, It's like do you wait for what "could" happen or do you enjoy the moment of what is?

Way too deep this early in the morning, right?

  • Saturday H went hiking with a friend so I got some stuff done off of my to-do list.

Sunday H and I both worked on the to-do list. The apartment still looks like a hell hole but we got stuff done.

it took her an hour but last night DD ate salmon and avocado. We're on a new weight gain regime because she's 22 months old and only weight 19lbs.
  • And 6let is the best big brother ever.

Enjoy the moment AND keep your options open?  I don't know.  I just know you deserve everything you want in life.
  • I am. Dont' worry.

A girl is just enjoying herself and spending less time on the sofa.:)
