Wedding Woes

Maybe I've had the wrong idea about a c/s.

Barbie is posting today.
H, is cleaning out her closets.

Why did I think you would be laying in bed for a week or something?

You can post from your bed and Baby Mo was born over a week ago.

I think it varies. A friend of mine had two and she took forever to recover from her second one - she had a lot of scar tissue and other issues.

i did lay in bed for a week.  my legs looked like this

the recovery is a lot longer; i know katori was out and about the same day.  i couldn't get out of bed without hauling myself out by the bed rails, and it was painful.

You had to wear diapers, Hmo?

I wish Pampers would come out with some so that if I ever need them, I can score more Pampers points.

I think it really just depends. I think the c/s process has gotten a lot better than it used to.

I'm ok with having one, but I'd really rather not.

the catheter was both good and bad.  the techs said i had good kidneys, and i didn't get out of bed for two days.  but it was weird and for some reason, the techs always put it on the side of the bed facing dh, which was unpleasant for him.

i was able to use the actual bathroom.  the diapers were backup and for clots.  getting to shower didn't come until day 4.

    happy lunch, everyone!

i had a catheter until this morning - had one in for about 48 hours. i think my body forgot how to pee on it's own.

I've been a little woozy because of the meds, but i'm able to sit in bad and watch TV, etc. I had to be off meds for a few hours before they let me go up to the NICU.

Have my laptop in the hospital, so posting isn't an issue.

I had never heard of the pee hat, and now I kind of wish I didn't know.

Totally varies.  After Dex, DH was still having to help me out of bed for a few days after we got home.  After Des, I was doing well on my own well before we left the hospital.

And please to be remembering that a post-labor c/s has a much more difficult recovery than a plain ol' planned one.

But really. Posting just takes fingers. You can do that from bed. :)
