Wearing Purple and Reminiscing

Wow....it is strange - but fanfuckingtastic - to see so many of my favorites from back in the day!

I'm loving all the random memories and catching up on where everyone is now.  This place helped me survive the screw factory, and I love seeing so many long lost (invisible) friends here.

I've missed the snark and the camaraderie that these boards provided during my darkest days in the screw kingdom.

P.S.
Y'all make some BEAUTIFUL babies!  My ovaries just kicked into hyperdrive.  Gonna do the baby dance with hubby tonight.  (*gag*  "Baby Dance" is one of my favorite knottie phrases ever!)

IIOY:  I know it's weird, but I think of you (and your H) everytime someone says they have ennui around me.  Not like it's often, but it does happen.

Glad to see you're still around.  Hope life is good for you and H :)

Chiklis!  It's wonderful to 'see' you!  Is that hubby of yours still hot enough to get the Knotties all flustered?  What are you up to?

I am great, thank you for asking.  Life is good.  I left the screw factory in 2006 and have been working with Senor Ennui ever since.  We got married in 2009 (which was awesome) and have been trying to get pregnant since.

In addition to being one of my all-time favorites, you always stick out in my mind because you were one of the few (if not the only) old schoolers who GBCK'd and meant it.

You actually got married. Finally! ;)

I miss your letters and you can't even imagine how many times I've been angry at a corporate goon and though "I need an ennui letter."

I'm doing well, though I'm starting to feel like I'm the lone neverbeenmarriedbitterhag in the crew. No babies, not even of the fur variety, one boyfriend. We've been together for 2.5 years now and my little sister (who, btw, is on TK and TN) told me that she's getting engaged soon so I better not because then I'd thunderjack her (she was kidding). I told her we'd just have to have a double wedding.

Actually that convo happened right before I found out. :(

Anyway, I work in HR for a widget making factory. Still in San Diego. Uh....I think that's it. Oh, and I'm a wino.

L:  better to be late to the oldmarriedhag club than to join the DivorcedCuzIRushedIntoIt club, no?

Tell me about this BF.  Where'd you meet, what does he do, etc.  I want the good dirt, girly!  And I love you so much that I'll offer you a piece of my liver should this wino thing go a bit too far ;)

He's in IT. Actually, right now he's in Singapore working until T-day. We met at work. I'm totally the scandalous HR girl that started dating someone at work. But when things got more serious than a FWB style fling I found a new job and left the company - in fact a few co-workers didn't even know until he was ready to leave for Singapore at the beginning of the month.

He's from NY/NJ - actually that's part of what started this whole thing. I would make my co-worker call him over to help w/her computer so I could hear him talk. I had such a dang crush on him. Anyway, he went to HS with The Situation, which I tell you only because I use it as a means of torture. Um, hmm...oh, he's Puerto Rican so his family consists of approx. 92498574360285498658675498654639879284729754 people and I can't keep them straight. So far I've only got his Mom, two cousins, and Aunt/Uncle down.

    I think that's it.

Okay, so he's from Jersey.  Some of my best friends are from Jersey.  But does he punch the beat down when he dances?  Because I'm thinking me might not be a good match for you if so.

    I kid, I kid!

I'm sure he's a doll.  And don't worry about the 938293743234301237 aunts/uncles/cousins, etc.  Just call the women Juanita, Maria or Margarita; call the men Jose, Juan or Jesus.  You'll be right at least 50% of the time ;)
