I was very glad to see the Mr's friends yesterday.
They do understand 1) support for a friend is important, even though we all hate funerals [they did all take off work and show up]
2) how to be have politely [okay, perhaps excessive swearing in church at the dinner] and
3) how to dress for a funeral.
And since the guy in question = employee of the comicshop, the owner of said shop made sure that everyone who wanted to got paid to go to the funeral, that the store closed rather than have peeps not make it to the funearl, and guy in question = paid for the rest of the week in spite of not being there.
(which is nice friend stuff but we all know w/ hourly employees, they don't have to do any of the above)
