TGIF?  Except that we're eating lime fluff and house hunting this weekend.

Today sucks.  Last night M2 spiked a 103 fever and was just laying there.  We called the nurse line and she said we should see someone within the hour.  At 730 in BFE there is no Urgent Care so off to the ED we go.  We got sent home with "she looks good.  Alternate tylenol and motrin."  It was close to 11 by the time everyone got to bed.  M2 is still a bit punky but nothing like last night.  6let is a tired boy, but he was awesome last night.  There was a really nice nurse who brought him crayons and paper (she'll get a little call out).  He was giving M2 hugs and kisses and singing her songs to make her feel better. 

We better get our insurance cards before that bill comes.

I scrambled to make a pumpkin cake yesterday for mom's group today.  Mom's group is cancelled due to the weather.  (If schools close they cancel the meeting).  Hopefully they'll still have a get together playdate and I'll take the cake. 

A side eye from the ED: Woman comes in with her 10- 12ish yo son who is sick.  While they are there the kid decides he doesn't want to stay.  Seems to be the kid shouldn't have that much control over going things.

Poor M2.  I bet it was scary to see her laying like that.  I'm glad she's doing better and 6let was a trooper.

What the what at not having ins cards yet?  Hasn't it been a month?  DH's company switched ins as of Dec 1 and we had our cards in less than 2 weeks.

When I talked to them yesterday they said "We just got employment verification 1/5.  If you don't have cards by 1/20 call back"  DH started 12/1. 

They gave me an id number, but the ED didn't have any other info on that insurance company so she couldn't put it in?  I don't know.  The registration clerk is dumb.  I used to work with her and I've dealt with her before.  She's dumb and she was walking around without her shoes on.

When I get those cards I have about 4 different places I need to visit to give the info to.  Pluse I have a bunch of forms to fill out to get reimbursed.  I think they are hoping you don't fill out the forms.

Man.  That really sucks.  I was able to print off my card online about 2 days after we enrolled.  That is craptastic.

I am happy to hear that M2 is feeling better though.

Insurance is dumb.  Especially when you find out a lot of these verification reviews only happen once a month or something like that.  Fortunately insurer was reasonable about reimbursement.  Unlike the doctor's office without verified insurance

I think DD will join the sick munchkin mafia.  Not that bad a fever, but enough crap going on that I made her a Dr. appt today.  Has been sick for the past three days.  Add to that a drama queen sick hubby, and a snow day...

It's gonna be like the Shining and the Overlook Hotel after two long.

I'm dying at walking around without shoes on in a hospital!   Only in BFE!   I'm so glad you're getting out of there - and that M2 is doing better.

AF- I did say I hoped this was the last time we were in an ED with 5 rooms and 1 doc from out of town.

H had no problems using the insurance cards from my work that have my name on them. His dr just said he need both of our bdays to process the info. I was thinking it would be a nightmare from what I have seen here.

I am so hopped up on a trillion types of meds....I have myself clear-headed....but I feel like that claritin commercial....the guy with a balloon for a head? That's me.

I'm so excited for our trip. SEAFOOD IN MY FACE. This friend is so fun to travel with. We had a blast going to Kansas from Oklahoma....so I'm thinking this will be a little fun, too.
