Okay so I got engaged last Christmas(2010) and I let everyone know about it. I was sooooo excited! So we finally picked out a time since my fiance's cousins were getting married this year(2011) one in May and one in September. We chose April of 2012 that way it would give his family a chance to come to ours as well. However my cousin just got engaged (which I am soo happy about! ) but his wedding plans are going to be May of 2012! I already know most of my family will be able to go to his wedding since it's closer geographically to them and they are more close in relationship than I guess we are. I love my family and even though we don't talk very much I would absoultely love for them to come to my wedding too. I wouldnt get mad if they couldnt make it but I dont want it to be a big deal. So Im thinking of moving the date out farther to give my family a chance to make it.It would give us even more time to save since we will be paying for it ourselves but that little thing called a deposit that we made on our venue...does anyone know if they typically give it back? Its just the first deposit and we didnt sign a contract yet... Thoughts?
