Wedding Woes

Update on cops at work Friday

Guy is 48.

I found online that he had a conviction when he was 18 for "indecent liberties with a minor". This could be totally pervy or that he had a younger gf and she or her parents got pissed. Who knows.

Sentence was 2 months and it mentioned something about an evaluation (mental?).

He is a nice guy and this seems so unlike him.

he was at home as of Friday afternoon and is supposed to be here today, so it can't have been too serious.

Weeeird.

Hmmm.  It'll all come out.  It usually does.

If it was 30 years ago and nothing has happened since, I'm going to call BS on that.  He could have been peeing in an alley that a kid happened to walk into.  Or he was 18 and had consensual sex with a 16yo or something.

I vote that whatever happened Friday was unrelated.

When my uncle was stationed at the war college at Ft. Leavenworth, lots of the on-post places (dry cleaner, florist, etc) were staffed by the less-dangerous prisoners.

Turns out one of them was freaking incarcerated at fort leavenworth prison because, as an 18yo private, he banged (consensually) a commanding officer's 16yo daughter, and the officer had him charged with child molestation.

I mean, statutory rape is one thing, though I don't know that 18/16 should apply to that, but child molestation?  That sht stays with you forever and was totally unfair in this situation.

    So yeah, it happens.
