I voted #1 ... in general I'm a fan of shorter CPs. Less getting in the way of conversation and photos .

Ditto niq, re: short centerpieces.  But I like jennuine's idea of 1/2 #1 and 1/2 #4 since it might make the reception room "pop" more visually.
