My fiance and I just got engaged December 26th. We've decided to have our wedding spring of 2012. ("we" being "me"). See, that's the thing.. for some reason my fiance's eyes seem to glaze over whenever I start talking about the wedding. All I'm trying to talk about is "when", and also "how", because of our budget. I'll ask him "what do you think" and he just kind of sits there, and doesn't say anything, then says "uh huh, or that sounds good". He just doesn't seem too interested. I had always imagined taking over the majority of the planning (I can't imagine he'd be super interested in favors, flowers, etc), but I'm a bit taken aback that my fiance has no input whatsoever in the actual event. I know he wants to marry me (he asked of course;) and our relationship is super solid. It's just this wedding planning thing that seems weird.
Is this common?

</div><div>Also, chillax. You've been engaged less than 2 weeks and you don't even want to have the wedding for another 15+ months. I'd be ignoring you, too.

Completely normal!
