Hello! I am writing to give you all an update on my previous post regarding a barn wedding location in Bonney Lake called Kelley Farm that raised their price $900 from 2011 to 2012. I would post this on the WA board, but it is dead! After doing some more research I have been finding out that the owner renovated the oldest standing barn in Bonney Lake illegally without proper permits and has been having some serious issues with the fire marshall because improper sprinklers were installed. The county is going after the owner for all of the illegal work and it would not surprise me at all if they were stopped from being able to hold events because of all of these issues. The woman I talked with regarding the rental was very nice and very prompt in getting back to me, but the whole situation makes me think the owner is a bad business man, and $4,500 is a lot of money to give someone who you don't trust completely. Buyer beware of Kelley Farms!
