Re: Official WW Exit Poll

  • I would've liked to vote for Jill Stein.  But really, just b/c of a single VIP issue to me.  The rest of her platform wasn't good enough b/c I don't consider myself a single issue voter.
  • i regret not putting my own name in one of the boxes for supreme court or something. but we voted, and it was quick and painless. no lines. not that you asked or anything.

we got yelled at to form a line. we = me and the husband. you do NOT approach the senior citizens at the registration table in a chatotic mob. that just pisses them off. again, it was just me and H.

I just got back. I actually sat there for a while debating between Obama and Johnson. In the end, I decided both were a giant "fck you" to Romney, which was the most important thing, and that my being an IL voter meant my vote could do more by contributing to the 5% popular vote needed for a third party to get recognition. That and the drones.

But yeah, I didn't really vote FOR anyone. In spite of that, I was hella giddy leaving the polling place.

  • Would love to vote for Jill Stein but I sincerely worry about Romney getting elected so I will be voting for Obama.

I am leaning green party for a lot of local stuff though.

  • I only wrote myself in for one thing (twp trustee)--and, to be fair, I'd actually have to register w/ the state election grand poo-bahs to be eligable to actually win.  So basically it was a vote for "screw all of you".  Which I'm OK with.
  • I did the little quiz that HIO posted on FB yesterday and got a 80%+ agreement with Gary Johnson and only 17% agreement with Mitt Romney.  Jill Stein and Obama were somewhere in the middle.  To me that just confirms how bonkers the Republican party is.  They do not exist anywhere on the continuum of conservative to liberal.  They are floating off in a hypocritical illogical little cloud somewhere and I simply can't understand how nearly half the country is buying into it.

  • I'm not voting.

I have been on the fence for months but finally decided that the issues I had with all four of the candidates on my ballot were all big enough that I couldn't compromise, which leaves no one left to vote for except Mickey Mouse and really, why wait in line for an hour just to throw away the vote to begin with? My time is worth more than that.

  • Obama.  Mittens was a terrible governor and I just can't vote for him especially because of Paul Ryan who I dislike with the fire of 1000 suns.
  • I'm voting for Jimmy John.
