Wedding Woes

REPENT THE END IS NIGH

amy was actually
1) funny
2) correct

Dear Amy: My boyfriend and I have been together for almost two years. We plan on getting married some day.

Yesterday we found out that his mom and my dad have been secretly dating for about three weeks.

Neither his mom nor my father seems to see our problem with this. But if they continue dating and decide they want to get married, doesn't that mean my boyfriend and I would now be brother and sister?

Is there any way I can talk some sense into them?

Betrayed

Dear Betrayed: If you truly believe that your boyfriend's mother and your father marrying would magically turn you two into siblings, then — please — do not get married and procreate.

    hehehehe

It makes me think of Teen mom Catelynn and Tyler.
  • LOL x millions.
  • So you DID take her her job Hmo.  :)
  • Ok, Amy.  This one is good, but I haven't forgotten that you told someone to ask his sibling why she didn't give as good a gift to him as she did their other brother.
  • Is there only one Amy?  Is it possible that they are just collecting responses from Wiki Answers?

</div><div>I TOTALLY understand how this would freak you out. And not just from the "we'll be related through our parents" thought. It's also weird and embarrassing on a personal level. What do you tell your friends, coworkers, other family members. It's just wrong and both of your parents should appreciate and respect how you feel on the matter. </div><div>
</div><div>The best advice I could offer to you is to get everyone together and you and your fiance explain to your parents how their dateing makes you feel uncomfortable, disrepected, and makes you two question your relationship together. If they love and support you both, I would hope that they decide to field a more friendly relationship and start looking for dating/marry partners else where.</div><div>
</div><div>Best of luck to you!! </div>

i can't believe this continues to happen.
  • I can't believe it happens with a clearly bolded "DEAR AMY" at the start. Seriously?
