These two ladies, P and M, used to work at my office here in Indy. They met at work, fell in love, and are life partners.
P got a job at one of our resort affiliates in FL about 4-5 years ago and moved down there. M stayed here until after she got a job in FL (at the same resort) and then moved to be with P.
A year or so after they moved to FL, P found out she had brain cancer. She did really well responding to treatment. But lately, she's been declining again.
Late last year, M was hospitalized with bad kidney issues and they weren't sure if she was going to get to keep her kidneys. She's had to be on dialysis for awhile, but it looks like her kidney function may be coming back.
I just found out yesterday that they found a new tumor in P's brain that developed in 8 days. They're trying to stabilize P, so they can send her home to hospice care.
My heart is breaking for both of them and their families.
