Am I the only one who really doesn't enjoy this whole wedding planning thing? Everyone says, "It's YOUR big day." Well, if it's my day, I think someone else should throw me a party. 

I don't care what the centerpieces, dresses, flowers, invitations look like. I just want to hang out with my family and make some vows and have some beers.

Am I selfish? Lazy?

Is it too late to hire a wedding planner if the date is in 4 months?

Selfish? No. Lazy? No. Too late to hire a wedding planner? Nooo, but they might charge you more because they may have to work overtime. I for one looooove the wedding planning thing, but I can understand that some don't. It sounds like you have people around you who are really excited. You should decide if you want to have a wedding for them or for you. You can forgo the whole fancy party if you want. Better yet, what about a destination wedding? You kinda sound like the prime destination bride.

Or less, depending on what still needs to be done.  If you have more money than interest, start asking around.

 I can relate since I don't enjoy the wedding planning very much myself.  But its almost over!!  You can definately still hire a wedding planner but like OP's have said you are probably going to pay a little more since time is tight.  Good luck!
