I never hear anything about the 12 people that died in the explosion.  Maybe it's my location, but I heard so much about the coal miners and nothing about these people.

    Nope. Nothing here either. They mentioned the memorial service a couple of days ago, but that was it. I left for my HM right after it happened though, so I could have missed something.

    I've just heard about the lawsuits filed by their families.  Who those workers are and any details about them, I have never read.

    All I heard was that BP **generously** put on a memorial service for them.

    They were front page news the day after it happened, and then the spill stole people's attention. They get a mention every now and then when there's a story about the spill, but it seems they pretty much had their week of top-news status and then the spill took over. =/
