Wedding Woes

hee.

Dear Amy: I'm an older man and have been married for a long time.It is not a "terrific" marriage, but I've lived it for so long that I'm just used to it.

A few years ago I met a single woman.  One thing led to another, and we spent the night together.

I've carried on a sort-of relationship with this woman, and she's now demanding I drop my wife to be with her.

Based on things she has said, I know she's only after my money. I also know she's sleeping with other men.

I want to get her out of my life, but she has threatened to tell my wife all if I don't "get my act" together.

I've tried everything I can think of without making her mad enough to do it (I honestly don't know if she would or not).

I can't come clean; it would kill my wife (her health is poor). I know I'm a stupid jerk for getting into this, but I've never done this before and feel so guilty about it.

I need help.

  • Well, hopefully he has life insurance on her(his wife).

  • Why do men continue to introduce the crazy into their marriages?

  • Why doesn't he hire a hit man? Texas is a huge state, you mean to tell me there isn't a dessert anywhere that he could just drop her in. He could tell her that they are going to bury a time capsule and then he can crack her in the head with the shovel. Sound's like a fool proof plan to me.
  • I always knew you were a man, hmo.
  • Hmo, you just need to say, "Flany, I'm quittin' you!"  Just.  Be.  Done.  Do you really want to continue your involvement with someone that wants to dunk your spouse in Jello pudding?

Maybe he needs to carry his dying wife to the front door every day.  Then he'll realize how much he loves her and she can die happy.

Like a big fluffy custard or something? I mean, that would probably piss her off - not to mention the people trying to get the world's biggest custard record - but I don't see how it would protect him from murder charges.

you know, you don't have to click on "reply to this post" every time you reply to something.
  • I think you mean "quote" reply is the only way to post in a thread. I'm using the mobile version so it may differ from the desktop site.
  • Also, desserts is stressed spelled backwards.  YWIA!
