Captain America:
Maybe not the most tightly plotted movie ever, but it was as much fun as the first Iron Man, which says a lot. And the 1940s styles and vaguely sepia tint of the cinematography made me nostalgic for a time I never actually knew. I wouldn't say it was a masterpiece, but I loved it nonetheless.
The Green Lantern:
The premise is kind of cringingly dumb, but if you can get past that (and it helps if you like that character Ryan Reynolds always plays), this movie was a lot of predictable superhero goodness. No stunning visuals like in Captain America, but it does get extra points for addressing the ridiculousness of people not being able to recognize a "disguised" superhero when he barely has any of his face covered at all.
Whatever that newest Transformers movie was called:
It was okay. I know everyone says it was terrible, but hell, it's not just a movie about fighting robots, but a sequel to a sequel of a movie about fighting robots. As long as you don't go in expecting The Usual Suspects, you'll probably have a good time. There was a lovely moon landing conspiracy, with a cameo from Buzz Aldrin, that I'd have liked to have seen made into a whole Ancient Aliens meets National Treasure style scifi thing, but such is life. I was most pleased by how they addressed the wtf factor of Shia LeBoeuf catching chicks way out of his league. Overall, meh. Watch it if it's on cable, but I wouldn't waste Amazon credits on it.
