in Wedding Woes

i had some oral surgery yesterday, no big deal.

two things:

1. it wasn't painful enough to take prescription narcotics afterwards. waste of the guy's script pad.

2. the percoset i have in the cabinet are going to expire and become useless by the time i ever get pain bad enough to use them.

    I'd offer to take them, but percocet made me throw up last month. :( I had such a sad, because they were so good going down.

    I was realizing the same thing about good drugs.
    I broke out the good migraine abortives last night.
    I have 3 refills on the thing and I've got 9/10ths of a bottle left.

    I think I need to get her to give me vicoden because it makes me less loopy so I'll take it more. (that sounds more 'addict' than it should)

    I'm no addict, but if i'm in pain, i'd rather take one of the *good* pills than take a bunch of tylenol or ibproufin to only get mild relief.

    True story.

    Oh and a Vicodin story: The day after I had DefConn, I'd been managing my pain all right with one Vicodin.  It wasn't completely gone, but managable.  The nurse insisted I take 2 Vicodin. I was all, "Well, OK.  If you insist."  DH left to go home and get stuff.  I'm the room holding the baby and  about to fall over asleep on him.  I had to call the nurses to come put him in the bassinet for me because I was so looped out.  I could feel my thoughts clicking by so sllooowwwlly.  It was the weirdest high.   I told them to never give me 2 again.

    vicoden does NOTHING as far as making me loopy..or didn't.  I seem to be a llightweight post baby.

    i dont like vicoden. i request percoset even though it is not as strong IMO.

    i tried some cough syrup that i did not realize contained vicoden and i felt like i had a hangover. do not recommend.

    and i really did have a cough, too. bummer.
