I read some crime thriller one time that I remember nothing else about, except:

The serial rapist was taking his victims' Blackberries that had all of their family/personal contact information on it and tellnig them if they reported him, he'd find her friends/family and kill them.

My phone/PDA has required a password to get in ever since and it made me super paranoid about reciepts and anything other paper trail type things.

I think it might've been one of the Patterson Womens Murder Club or something like that.

people turn in phones/blackberries/etc to me all the time @ work...I try not to ose through but I hate it when theyr'e locked because I don't have any way of calling/contacting them.

(that said, i have a decently nice 'diamond' bracelet that someone turned in today.  I don't think it's 'real', but it is actually nice.  I hope someone comes back for it.  [if they don't, I'll give it to campus police @ the end of the day])
