And I really don't get the insta-bridesmaid thing.  You just asked some random friend, whom (by your own admission) you're not that close to, just because she happened to be there?  If that's the case, obviously your WP isn't that big of a deal to you, so I don't know why you're that bent out of shape to begin with.
