I just talked to my insurance agent.  Because there were two trees involved in the fence damage they will pay up to $1,000 for clean-up. Woooohoooooo!  Problem solved.

    Oh, but he did tell me that it is normally the liability of the person in whose yard it fell .  So it didn't matter if it was my tree or theirs.  The fence damage was mine, so it is my insurance claim.  If my tree fell on my neighbor's fence it would be their problem.
