It's official - I've been posting on the site sparatically even before I was officially engaged since we've been looking for a while now but as of Sat. I'm engaged.

However fiance recently lost his job so no planning until he gets one.

Oh, and why do people get their panties in a bunch when you tell them that you and your SO have been planning wedding details before you're engaged and then less than 24 hours after you've been engaged they expect you to have a date already?   Seriously?

Congrats sxcwed on your "official" engagement!!!

Don't let people get you down about not being able to set down deposits and setting a date.  I had a long engagement (18+ months), and I ended up having an awesome wedding (imo at least).  Sending lots of job vibes to your FI!

Can't wait to hear about all the ideas you have for your future wedding!

My caterer is budgeting super small amounts of beverages. I'm adjusting my own calculations, and still within budget, but it's making me nervous that there may be something else that I'm missing, and then I'll get hit with large unexpected fees at the end.
