Wedding Woes

part 2

By chapter 3, our heroine Missy has introduced us to her friend Nita and she's met a guy named Ray. He's a supposedly a college student, and is 2 years younger than Missy. He lives with his mama. Missy and Ray screwed on the first "date", and it was described as "pretty good".
--------------
It has been three months since Ray and I have been together, we never really sat down and discussed our relationship, but I know I wasn't seeing anyone else and didn't really know if he was. I can say that if he was, she was probably mad because he slept with me every night. He even had clothes at my house now. Little by little he was bringing clothes. He never came out and asked if he could love in he just did. Ray didn't have that much money but the little that he had he always used it to take me out to the movie, out to eat, to live concerts, and to comedy shows. I didn't ask him for too much like if I needed to go shopping or something I would just buy my own things because what I like to wear he couldn't afford.

and later on in Chapter 3...
--------------
On the weekends when I didn't have to work we would go out. Everything was going ok I really started to fall for him. I didn't know if we were in a relationship or not because we always said we were just friends. In October it was my birthday, and I didn't make any plans with my friends because Ray and I are going to do something. My birthday fell on a Friday, October 12, 1999, and I had to work.

My alarm went off at 2:30am I sat up in the middle of my bed and said to myself "Dam I'm getting old." I got to work at 4:00am and sat at my desk, my phone rung it was Nita, and she said

"Happy Birthday sister."
"Thank you."
"What are you doing today?"
"I'm not sure."
"Are you and Ray going to do something?"
"Well I don't know, I left him at my house this morning he was asleep, he didn't say anything yesterday or last night so I don't know."
"Oh, well call me if you don't do anything."
"Ok, bye."

After I hung up I sat back in my chair and started to feel depressed because I was 29-years-old and dind't have a real relationship, I wasn't married, or have any children, what's wrong with me? No, the question I need to ask is what's wrong with men? I mean I am a good person, and I do have it going on, so what's the problem?
