Marriage License Signers

I know most people will have their MOH & BM sign their marriage license as the witnesses but I'm not having any attendants. Would it be weird if our moms signed for us? FI has already asked his & while my mom wouldn't be my 1st choice, I would feel bad if my mom felt bad that I didn't ask her.

    You can have anyone over 18 sign your marriage license as a witness.

    Awww that's super sweet.  I just picked up our license, we only have to have the officiant sign, no witnesses necessary apparently!

    Yeah it's probably best to have your mom also, even though you would rather someone else. But since he already asked his, that would be sad to un ask her.
