Wedding Woes

Hair

So I got my hair done last night.  I am one to really buck the trend, so amongst all of the ladies getting "subtle highlights" I decide to go red.  RED red.  Stylist dyed hair with highlights and all over and I had hot roots.  I looked like Raggedy Ann, so she toned them down with semi permanent.  I do love the color, but I feel I look like some sort of super hero.

I'll post a pic after lunch.  Be prepared for awkward x abajillion.

Yes, I loved red, but it was just money down the drain. Literally.

I've tried to get back to my natural color and get off the dye train. We'll see in a few weeks if we got it right.

    I'm sure you look faaaabulous!

I'm sure it looks great.  It will fade in a little bit.

I loved my hair red, but it was high maintenance.  I've gone back to my real hair color and love it.

I'm lucky that I only wash my  hair about two times a week, so I keep my red longer now.  I'm a dirty hobo.

Red fades, even pro reds, after a couple of days. I always feel like a comic book character for a couple of days after I dye, and then it settles.

I bet you never go back. Redheads get attention, yo.

Oh, also, if you want to keep it, try the EverPure shampoos from L'Oreal (or salon equivalent, I guess.). It's mad a HUGE difference in the length of my reds.

Thanks BM.  I think I will try that stuff, I am out of shampoo actually.

Be advised: your hair needs to acclimate to it, and it won't feel as clean for about the first 5 or so washes. After that, it goes in reverse - if you use other stuff, it'll feel greasy. But I've noticed a significant difference in fading and in the general health of my hair since starting it, both for the better.
