Wedding Woes

Sandals

Has anyone here been to a Sandals resort? What did you think of it (food, service, value, etc)?

Yes, I am aware there is a honeymoon board. I do not care for it.

We did one of the Sandals in St. Lucia (there are 3 there).  It was fabulous.  Good price, great food, drinks included, very friendly staff.  There were also no hidden fees or tipping.  I would certainly go to another one.

I've never been to a Sandals, but I'd highly recommend Dreams/Secrets. We went to the Dreams in Puerto Vallarta for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. Secrets and Dreams are owned by the same company and they have locations in PV, Eastern Mexico (Cancun, etc.) and the Caribbean.

ETA:it's all-inclusive,  the food was awesome, the drinks were fantastic, and the staff was wonderful. we got a suite with a jacuzzi on our private balcony.

6, which one did you go to in St Lucia? We're doing the Regency for our honeymoon.

We stayed at the Grande.  It was a great time, but it was also 5 years ago.  We did a couple of excursions, but for the most part we swam and ate.  The snorkeling was fun and free.  We did go to dinner at the Regency and it was beautiful.  The Halcyon is very small, but the restaurant on the water was really good.

We also went to the Grande in St. Lucia and loved it!  We will probably either be going back there or to another Sandals resort for our 5 yr anniversary.
