Invite Typo

I just got my invites, that I slaved over picking the perfect design for and the second my groom reads it he says...."You spelled 'their' wrong..." WHAT?! I spelled it "thier". Guess it is not a huge deal, but it is still embarrassing! I checked over them a million times and had other people do it too. I hope not too many people will notice. Someone please tell me it's not a huge deal!

Oh that does suck! No use in sweating about it now, what's done is done. It's not going to change peoples' minds about attending or not! If it makes you feel better, I had "honor" instead of "honour" written on the invites. :-O

Unless you live in the UK, this is not a spelling error.

As for the OP - you have 2 choices: redo them or mail them.  If you don't have the time or budget to redo them, then just mail them and chillax.

A friend of mine put the directions to the reception site on the RSVP card - yeah, the thing people send back to her. So no one had directions. Everyone lived.

Actually it should be spelled that way in Canada too.

I would also be upset if I had spent so much time and effort on something and then that happened, but as PP have said, there is nothing to worry about.

I would probably just send them out. Some people will notice but most probably won't.

Try not to stress about it, on a scale of what could happen, this isn't too bad.

If this is the worst thing that happens, you're blessed!

If it's in your budget to redo them, you can.  If not, you can laugh it off by saying you were so focused on marrying your best friend (and so excited!) that basic spelling eluded you in the moment.

DG1 I know honor is not spelled incorrectly but when I looked up invitation tmplates online, all of them said something like "We request the honour of your presence"
Maybe it just applies to formal writing?
