AW-First gift!!!!! (Not even on registry!)

I have a cousin who lives in Indiana (We have never really been close but we chat on FB occasionally.) When I had gotten engaged, she asked me when we were getting married because she wanted to fly out for the wedding. We kept in touch and she kept telling me how excited she was to come back to WA and see all the family and everything.

I got an IM from her on FB yesterday. She asked where we were registered and what name our registry was under. She then told me how they (her and her hubby) had just found out that his family reunion was the same day as my wedding. I told her I totally understood that she couldn't come. She said she still wanted to get us a gift and asked if I had heard of a Kitchen Aid mixer...of course I have! (I had a fake one on my registry from Target....I felt guilty asking for the real deal)

So long story....she's getting my the Kitchen Aid mixer in Red (our kitchen color) with (as she put it...LOTS of attachments)

GAHHHHH I'M SO excited! I've been drooling over these mixers ( I love to cook)

Okay AW done. :D

    Congrats on getting your first gift already!  Sorry that your cousin can't make it, but at least she's thinking of you!

    Nice!! That's an awesome gift to receive!  I have the mixer on ours as well - doubt I'll get it, but oh well. Shame she couldn't make it, but a really nice gesture on her part!

    WOW! That's so amazingly generous of her!!! Droool....I have one but it's white and I can't justify being selfish and wanting it now in cinnamon red to match my awesome KitchenAid blender. :)  Best attachments: ice cream maker, an extra bowl, and they all now come with the pour shield standard which is nice. (I still don't have one).

    That is SOO awesome. THat is the gift I want. I'm hoping people in my office or my bms pool together to get it for me. :)

    I have that on our registry as well, that's the one thing FI wants the most! How great is that for you! And you should not feel bad about putting the real one on your registry, you do whatever you want! It's your wedding!
    That is way cool of your cousin though, I'm jealous!
