    Ahhh...I don't remember exactly where it was.  Probably WebMD or Mayo Clinic as those are my two go-tos.  I'll try to relay the info in PG terms because I am a prude at heart.

    I don't think it specifically mentioned long distance marriages, just that UTIs are more common amongst those having infrequent "relations" because the girl parts close up a bit when not in use.  Then a visitor arrives and "ouch" little bitty tears result and create places for bacteria and such to hide and cause infections.
