NWR- but my FI and I have our own dogs. Well one of them got diarrhea this morning in our laundry room, (ewwww) and I told him I saw his dog doing it and didn't catch him in time to put him out so that way I wouldn't have to clean it up! I feel a little bad but I did not want to go near that stuff!!!

FMIL sent me pictures of potential dresses for the wedding. She wants my opinion, but I don't like ANY of them!! They are way too formal for our wedding. I feel awful, but I think she really likes them. I talked to FI, and he suggested I talk to his sister (who saw the dresses, and doesn't like any of them either). Okay, so that's my first weekend confession!

I don't think my FMIL likes me.
My FI had her on speakerphone when he told her that we're engaged. She just said "Oh...you are? Ok then..."
Marriage hasn't really worked out for her, and I've been trying to convince myself that that's why she wasn't excited (at all) but the thought is still there that she just doesn't think I'm a good match for her son, or something along those lines.

One of FI's single friends bitched at me last weekend about not getting a plus one to the wedding (none of our friends w/o SOs got +1s).  And he went on saying I need to seat him at a table with all my hot single friends.  I'm contemplating seating him at a table with all of FMIL's friends that she made us invite, and some of those ladies in their early 60's ARE single  Wink

Single and probably from time to time still are "hot" (if they are late to menopause)...

I'm frustrated I can't tell my FI how many people are invited.  He said if it's more than 6 he doesn't want to know.  He's really shy and said he'll be comfortable with however many show up, but I'm nervous that he will be overwhelmed.

I'll go along with jadebride and let it spill that I cannot stand my FFIL. I am all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, and I used to like him before I become to learn what he's like outside of a bar. I have never had so little respecting or understanding for somebody in my life.

I am so ready for this wedding to be over. It is causing more drama than it is worth in my life. I am probably the worst bride ever, given how much I actually care (or not care) about my wedding. The little things excite me, but in the end, I just want to wave a magic wand and have it be done with my belly full of good food and an album full of pictures to pore over.

I'm with you, dreamwinds! I could gladly just show up for the party. I'm sick of all of it and I can't wait until I'm not always feeling like I have to be working at work, working on the wedding, or doing chores. We both finally tool the weekend off from everything and just went down to Portland to force ourselves to take the time off. It was magic.
