Wedding Woes

s/o vegans

can someone explain this to me? how can eggs be "vegetarian"?

(are the eggs themselves vegetarians, or are these eggs for vegetarians, and if so isn't eating an unfertilized chicken embryo essentially the same as eating meat?)

They're the eggs of vegetarian chickens.

The chickens are fed a vegetarian diet, rather than things like animal meal which is a bi-product of factory farming.

Eating an unfertilized chicken embryo is not the same as eating meat, IMO.

vegans and vegetarians are not the same thing. many vegetarians will eat eggs, and as pp stated those eggs come from chickens that have not been fed meat products. vegans do not eat eggs at all so it wouldn't matter to them.
