Wedding Woes

my blackhearted moment this morning

I snorted when NPR reported that the family and friends of the guy executed by firing squad in Utah stood across the street and sang "Freebird" - at his request.

I would laugh so hard, and likely swerve off the road if I had heard that while driving.

sidenote: firing squad? I didn't know they still did that?

I didn't know about the firing squad either, until I heard the story this week.  Apparently it's just Utah, and available as a backup method in Oklahoma.

Because the dude was convicted before they changed to the default fatal injection, he was allowed to choose his method of dying. It's a strange, strange story.
